History

The presently known as air washed or evaporative cooling is undoubtedly the oldest method that exists to provide freshness. It is a process that occurs in nature in areas with abundant vegetation: filtered water from the roots evaporates in the leaves and gives a feeling of freshness. Even the natural body cooling system is based on this principle: evaporation of sweat water causes a decrease in body temperature.

In ancient Egypt, fresh air was supplied to the enclosures by increasing the humidity by filling water in mud jars. These vats were aerated using ostrich feather fans. This movement of air applied to the mud jars, which is a very porous material, allowed water to evaporate quickly, causing the humidity lower the ambient temperature.

The current evaporative cooling equipment are installations that bring in a current of air with another of water to decrease the temperature of the air, taking advantage of the energy absorbed by the water in its evaporation process.

Evaporative Cooling Process

Evaporative air conditioning is today one of the most innovative and effective solutions in the air conditioning sector for industry, work centers and the residential sector.

The evaporative cooling process is highly recommended and efficient in very hot and dry areas, although this system is not exclusive of these places, since it has been proven that it also works in semi-arid and highland areas, allowing in them their use and application due to the functional and economic condition that results with this cooling system.
